Happy Drive

Recommended Posts

I took the top off one of my 810 drives, and noticed that it had the Happy Chip. I also have some Happy disks. What exactly does this do to make the drive better?

Thanks

Never mind..looked it up and got the info I needed.

Well,

afaik a Happy 810 makes the drive faster... it does not add any more densities (formats, like enhanced or double density) to that drive. but I guess it makes the drive programable and has the ability of creating backups of copy-protected SD disks... -Andreas Magenheimer
