When "No Reserve" means $200 reserve.

Call me crazy, but when you start an item at price XX, THAT'S a reserve.

And $100 shipping.  Sure, why not.

By that logic, then EVERY auction has a reserve. In essence, that's what the opening bid is/should be, right?

Just curious, are you the seller, or a bidder?

Is there a difference between a $1 starting bid, and a $200 starting bid? What's the definition of a reserve?

Reserve auctions are usually unknown pricing for one thing. The opening bid could be $1 or $200, and you could bid $500 and still be wasting your time. Unless you are willing to bid high enough on an unknown sell point that only the seller knows.

I'm not even sure how to reply to this. I think I'll just say the intelligent majority gets it.

What you as a bidder are willing & able to pay for an item, has little to do with what a seller wants to start his auctions at.

To you $200 is high, but the seller doesn't seem to think so. In his mind that might be a $1000 lot he's sacrificing for $200 and he is offering it with no reserve as he states.

It isn't without a reasonable reserve. That's the point. Without a reserve, in most peoples mind, will be at the minimum starting cost. Ask around.

Personally, I don't care what the seller is asking. That's not my point.
