Just got Synthcart Today... arrgh

Hey guys,

 

my copy of paul slocum's synth cart came in the mail today, and it DOESNT WORK! :(

 

i know its not my atari because i can run lotsa other games on it :( when i power it on i just see blue white and black vertical lines. anyone else have this problem? suggestons? :( im SO disapointed

Just send Albert a PM, that happens sometimes. I am sure he will send you a new one, or repair it.

 

Unless you got it from a third party, of course. :ponder:

Yeah, just contact Albert and he'll take care of it. He ships out a lot of carts, and while he usually tests all the carts before he sends them out, a bad one is bound to go out once in a while.

He sent me a PM and I sent him a new cart yesterday. All the carts that go out are tested, including his original cart. But DOA carts can still happen, although fortunately not very often. When I get the defective cart back I can take a look at what the problem is. My guess would be a bad solder joint, or possibly a bad EPROM.

Its most likely a bad solder joint, they bang boxes up pretty good and a bad solder point will break off for sure. Trust me I know.

I have seen the synthcart work fine on all models, so it is perplexing....

 

 

where do you live?

No known compatibility issues except for SECAM consoles (the B&W switch is wired differently on those). I've tested it on almost everything including 7800, Colecovision adapter, and PAL 2600.
