memorymoog #1 Posted April 12, 2002 though i have no plans to sell my 2600 collection, if sometime in the distant future i wanted to, i was planning on selling the whole lot. Would it be better to sell the whole system, with 55 games, or sell them individually. It seems better to sell the whole lot, to avoid constant trips to the post and the bank. Who has performed the deed of amputating their pride and joy?
MattyXB #2 Posted April 12, 2002 Rarer game is better to sold seperatly. If this are all common game its better sold complete. But games like SwordQuest WaterWorld, Crazy Climber, Chase the Chuckwagon, or any other Rare game from 8-10. And any Prototype is better sold in extra auctions. But thats only what I think. Sometimes, if you have Rare game in an auction with many games, it can be, that someone not see them.
ATARIPITBULL #3 Posted April 12, 2002 Yes like matty said I would sell all my rare ones by them selves and the others in a big lot with my 2600. You would make more money.
MattyXB #4 Posted April 12, 2002 I remember, that I buy in the past some Rare games in a set with more games. Like Cakewalk. I have get it for ca. 20 Euro with 4 other common games. Later it was sold Cakewalk only and it goes higher. So for me its sometimes better to get rare games with more other common games in one auction. So I must pay not so much. Because some don't look in every auction. And I look often in auctions like 4 Atari 2600 games. So I see such rare sometimes in these auctions too. Other example. I have get Motorodeo with manual in a set with an Atari Jr. and a pirated Pitfall. Have pay too only ca. 20 Euro. But if you will make money sell very Rare games with no other game. StanJr #5 Posted April 12, 2002 I like it when sellers are flexible and will sell to me in lots allowing me to pick and chose. I know this ends you up with combat and Space Invaders that no one wants, but when I was starting out, I would have loved someone setting me up with a lot of common games for cheap as well. There is a market for everything. It all depends upon how much work you wanna put into selling them.
