Goochman #1 Posted October 8, 2005 I powered up these 2 gems and couldnt figure out how to save a human. Protector -> Touchy to pick up a human - but I cant seem to get them back to the base or whatever it is - they get crunched on the ground When the Saucer picks up a human can you stop it? Protector II -> You can finally fly through the buildings but again where to put the humans? Are there are keyboard commands for either of these titles? Atari Smeghead #2 Posted October 8, 2005 I'll start with Protector II, since I like it a lot better. Once you pick up a human, you must fly him/her to the tops of one of the buildings in the middle of the "world." You fly just above the roof and the guy will automatically stick to it. You can also set them down on the ground around the buildings. But it's tricky. Then go back and get another. Once you've moved all your people over to those buildings, then the last part opens up. At the far right of the "world" there is a valley, surrounded by baddies, that you must lower a person into. You'll see it once you get there. Protector... let me pop it in. I remember it gave me fits as well... That's it. You fly above a building, then push the fire button. That drops the guy onto the building. The last part is the same, if I recall. I hate how you die if you run into the building. That's why I could never get into Protector, only II. Hope this helps, Smeg
Atari Smeghead #3 Posted October 8, 2005 When the Saucer picks up a human can you stop it? Are there are keyboard commands for either of these titles? 944667[/snapback] In Protector II, you only get your guy back when the saucer is dropping him/her into the volcano. You fly in just above him and catch the guy in mid air. I don't think it works for the first one, but it might. in II, you can stop the saucer temporaily, by shooting it. But, every time you shoot it, it stays immoble for less time and it will fly a bit faster each time. I don't think shooting the saucer in the first one does any good. As for keys, I don't think there's any. You can definitely finish the game with only the joystick and your wits. Smeg
Goochman #4 Posted October 8, 2005 Thanks - SO basically everyone needs to be on a building and then you move them? Those that are already on a building I dont need to do anything with? Protector I seems a bit tedious not being able to fly through a building!
Atari Smeghead #5 Posted October 9, 2005 You have to move them from the starting buildings to the set of buildings to the right of the volcano, or the surrounding area. Then, you have to move them to the bunker at the far right.
