NightSprinter #1 Posted October 10, 2005 For those of you who own the Stelladaptor and various Atari controllers, could you post your findings here? This isn't just an "out of curiosity" thing, hopefully the developer of EMU7800 might be on these boards and could use the information to help better inmpliment the functionality of the Stelladaptor. Blackjack #2 Posted October 13, 2005 Besides Joystick and Paddle I've used a couple odd ones successfully. The Starplex Controller (Asteroids) The Joyboard (What a trip playing Pitfall with this thing!)
Albert #3 Posted October 13, 2005 The Stelladaptor supports Atari 2600 Joysticks, Paddles and Driving Controllers. Any joysticks that are electrically compatible with 2600 sticks will also work fine. Now, whether or not these three different controllers are supported in emulators is dependent on each individual emulator. The newest 2600 emulators (z26, Stella) support all three. Most emulators support joystick controllers as long as they have built-in support for USB controllers. I've successfully used paddle controllers with MAME. As far as I know, only the 2600 emulators support the driving controllers. Pretty much every emulator I've tried works fine with the Stelladaptor when using joysticks. ..Al
NightSprinter #4 Posted October 14, 2005 I know that, but I was mainly interested in the 7800 Pro-Line, and the 2600 Booster Grip, since those employ two buttons (the latter possibly three if the CX-40's button is included).
Zonie #5 Posted November 18, 2005 It doesn't work with PCAE. Bummer. Best emu, I think.
