birdie3 #28 Posted October 12, 2005 I have to be honest here. I think that if there was any machine that I would like to code for - it would be the Atari 8-bit computers. I have been collecting games and hardware for about 3 or 4 years now and I have recently concluded that these machines are the best for the kind of gaming I enjoy. With the things being said in this thread, moving forward, why don't we list any Atari 800XL/XE internet sites and resources that we know of. Perhaps this thread can serve as a good place for Atari users to start when looking for information about A8 coding.
krupkaj #29 Posted October 12, 2005 (edited) This site is great but an english version can be a door for users/programmers of others countries. Polish is VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY hard to understand, more if you speak spanish and have a poor english (like me ) Polish belongs to different language family than for example English. So it is clear that it is not easy for you. I have also troubles with reading it and my native language belongs to Slavic languages also. It is not perfect, but... 947646[/snapback] alternatively babelfish.org ...it theres also a very good polish website that focuses on the atari platforms but i can't speak polish, and has a very good forum, it's that one that provides a link to the atari800win+ website i thinks it somethink like atari area or somethings like that, i got the impression its more like a polish version of atari age (but more technical) In regards to mikers piccy, i'm sure i saw that on some atari site eons ago, is that where you half inched or swiped it from In regards to atariage not been a good resource for 'coders', like the old saying goes, you pays your money , you takes/makes your choice, if you want to improve things for coders in the atari community witihin the confines of AA, why don't you work with albert and the other owners, maintainers of the w/s and related forums, instead of criticising, suggest areas of improvement and work woth albert and the like to achieving that aim, that way your'll get what you want Gotta remember peeps the atari community is growing ever smaller, resources like AA, aren't two to a penny you know, they are like goldust therefore, should be treated and respected as such Edited October 13, 2005 by carmel_andrews
