If you did a 100% program in assembler then you must vote for the first option.

And don't forget to post here the QUICK ATR image  ;)

I can't find it.

Of course, I did 100% assembler things :)

But as I wrote above, I tend to use a higher language (QUICK) first and if there are problems (with QUICK mostly lack of memory), then comes assembler...

Second thing: QUICK has a complicated status a.t.m. As I understood the version printed within German ATARI Magazin ist now PD (1.6). This version was given to the ABBUC e.V. from its former publisher W.Raetz for the public.

Version 2.0 & 2.1 aren´t PD... BUT: the "QUICK Magazin"-discs are PD too, and there you can find updates from 1.6 (finally up) to 2.1.

I think the best way for getting a legal version is to ask Wolfgang Burger of ABBUC, perhaps my knowledge is wrong and he should know correct.

This page had QUICK at sale

It appears to be 2.1 and 2.2 versions and much more adds like libraries, demos, examples, etc

I voted "ML Coder" as I used to do a fair bit of assembly programming on the 8-bit, but I will admit it was a LONG time ago and I'd have to spend some effort to get back into it. I was well versed in the architecture at the time, and with some good reference material I could probably dive back into it. :)

MAC/65 and Mapping the Atari would probably do the trick. That's all I ever used anyway. :)

This is slightly off-topic, but have you looked at the Lynx? That's exactly what you described. Some amazing (for the time) graphics hardware and a 6502 variant (65C02).

I'm partial to the NEC TurboGrafx-16...

According to the docs i have bookmarked yes, a 65C02 core embedded in one of the custom chips. The only reason i haven't had a more serious prod around the Lynx is that i stretched myself a little too thin doing Reaxion for the A8, Plus/4 and NES (only the latter isn't fully functional now, or more accurately the game runs but the presentation work around it isn't done) so i'm holding back from diving into too many pools at the same time now.

As an aside, i know Sack and me are in the "Commie" category for this poll and i'm guessing Frohn too, but who are the others? =-)
