Ken Meoni #5 Posted October 13, 2005 I had a seller send an Atari 7800 console in a bubble envelope.....it came in pieces. When I requested a refund he said on the message portion of PayPal, "first time in three years I had a problem shipping something in a bubble envelope". NightSprinter #6 Posted October 13, 2005 Or when the seller doesn't even communicate with you. I "JUST" got notification from PayPal on Tuesday about an auction I won for an iPaq hx2415 (can ya guess what I'll be usin' that for on the go? ), cradle, bluetooth keyboard, and carrying case. I at the very least let the guy know I sent my payment the day my folks gave me the check to cash and then deposit into the bank. Never got an actual e-mail. Let's hope my PDA and handheld goodies make it in one piece..
+Omegamatrix #7 Posted October 13, 2005 I had a seller ship me a boxed Atari in just plain brown wrapping paper for "extra protection". He promptly taped the paper to the box all the way around, and took a lot more packing tape to the box openings to make sure nothing would fall out. I think he threw away the inserts to fit all the games in the box as well. Luckly most of the tape came off without too much damage. I think half the people you buy Atari stuff from on eBay don't play games, and don't consider boxes to be valuable. Some other sellers seem to be aware that they could be, or actually are damaging your product by shipping it poorly packaged, and don't really give a rat's ass. That's what pisses me off the most. dgob123 #8 Posted October 13, 2005 I just got my 256MB MMC Card I ordered for the the cuttlecart 2 I won on ebay It also was supposed to be new in sealed packaging and came loose from hongkong in a brown envelope. At least it was already formated correctly. And works correctly. Again on the flip side of this I also recentlly received a large INTV cart lot where every game was individually wrapped in bubble wrap (54 carts) each set of overlays was in its own poly zipper baggy and the box had about 2 cubic yards of packing peanuts took me forever to unpack everything...... And I HATE packages I get that have the tiny newspaper confetti in it... that gets all up in the cartridges and game systems and get all over everything in my apartment... NightSprinter #13 Posted October 14, 2005 Ok, here's the update. PDA arrived in good condition and as shown in the auction (which is sans the flip-up protective cover that usually comes with it). Everything works beautifully, but.. I'm still irked at the fact he didn't contact me even to say he got the payment. I'm deciding whether or not to leave neutral if any feedback

It's not worth a neutral or neg if there were no issues with the package.
NightSprinter #15 Posted October 14, 2005 Yeah, it's just in the past with sellers (including one from here, thanks again for the XEGS and keyboard!) sent me an e-mail immediately upon close of the auction, and when they got my payment, and sent off the item. Usually they would send the item off no more than two days after payment. My payment via PayPal went out on the 6th. I understand it takes about a day for each process )from bank to paypal, then paypal to bank), but he didn't notify me when he got the payment, or when he was sending out out (which was Tuesday, I was expecting it to have gone out around Saturday when he got the payment). In fact, the only notification was from PayPal stating the item was sent. I got worried this person just took the money and ran off (since it was my folks who gave it to me to make the payment). Trade-N-Games #16 Posted October 14, 2005 I was at the post office today and this lady was holding up the line. She wanted insurance and the post lady said it was not packed correct to get insurance and said no so the lady went ahead a shipped without insurance. So when I got up to the line and mailed all my games I ask if i could take a peak in the box that was not taped shut. Inside was about 50 PS1 games and an Ebay invoice. A few of the games on the top were rare and all looked nice. The box was about 2 times to big and the lady working my line said she would cut it down and the boss said NO they are not allowed to alter boxes. So the winner of this will be pissed.
