crunchysuperman #1 Posted October 14, 2005 Won this in an auction the other day - Pac-Man with white end label text.
Wester #2 Posted October 14, 2005 Looks like it could be just faded.
crunchysuperman #3 Posted October 14, 2005 Well, I thought that at first, but the black on the label is still shiny and very dark black. Any fading should've faded the black as well as the yellow I would think.
yuppicide #4 Posted October 14, 2005 Looks like a standard Pac-Man to me.
Laner #5 Posted October 14, 2005 One of my Pac-Mans looks the same way... just the end label text is white, rather than yellow. I just chalked it up to fading.
video game addict #6 Posted October 30, 2005 White end label Defender? I think they are faded, well with Pac-man above I though so as the end lable was pretty bad shape already. But maybe they are just print errors.
sku_u #7 Posted October 30, 2005 You could easily duplicate that effect be storing Pacman in a box face up with a bunch of other carts so that the main labels are not exposed and keep them in a sore window. There's a game store in the city that had an entire box of carts that looked like that because they were set up as part of a window display.
PacManPlus #8 Posted October 30, 2005 ...and keep them in a sore window....956741 Would that be a 'window pain' (pane)? *runs and hides*
holygrailvideogames.com #9 Posted October 30, 2005 I have had one that looked like that. I didn't think much of it.
A.J. Franzman #10 Posted October 31, 2005 It could be a production error or alternate version, like the green end label Video Olympics, pink Combat, white Sky Diver and so many others. But based on the overall appearance of this cart, I vote for sun fade.
silverpoodleman #11 Posted October 31, 2005 Are we seriously debating whether or not this is vauable? Or is it that it is possibly rare? My question is - does it still flicker?
A.J. Franzman #12 Posted October 31, 2005 Are we seriously debating whether or not this is vauable? Or is it that it is possibly rare? 956966 No, and no. We're debating whether "white end label text" is a legitimate label variation for this title.
