Xot #2 Posted October 20, 2005 I got a kick out of the line where they mention their first computer being "a Pentium 286."
+uosipa llamxew #3 Posted October 21, 2005 Wow! I always thought it was weird when my friends' parents would play Zelda or Castlevania. I can't imagine playing Diablo with my Grandma! Very cool article. Thanks for the link!
BeerGnome #4 Posted October 23, 2005 oh hell yeah that was a good article! but of course..we're all heading down that ramp arent we? we're all gamers here arent we.. we hit atari age becouse we love the old games as much as the new.. good gaming is good gaming.. and there will come a day when folks like us will out nuber the giatrics playing cross word puzzles.. and to think about it in the grand scheme of things.. a cross word isn't much diffrent from a round of HALO that being said.. I got my intlevision froma very aged gentleman. the unit had stopped displaying for him.. unfortuantly.. aftr I got finished repairing that problem.. and called him up to tell him I was bringing it back over.. uh.. he died his wife told me to go ahead and keep it. unfortunatly.. I haven't been able to bring myaself to really play it since.. its like.. the dead guys Inty
Lord Thag #5 Posted October 23, 2005 his wife told me to go ahead and keep it. unfortunatly.. I haven't been able to bring myaself to really play it since.. its like.. the dead guys Inty Yeah, that would be kinda creepy. Me, I'm gonna be the most kick-assest grandpa in the joint. Not only will I be playing Pitfall! and the like in my mothball-scented-yet-Matlock-free room, I'll also have several lovely young lasses in tight white uniforms bathing me with sponges as I soil myself with gleeful abandon, like any respectable rest-home patron. Then, I'll wheel around the establishment in my CX-40 controlled hoverchair.

Someday in the near?/distant? future someone will be playing with my legion of toys when I kick the bucket. Probably after they're sold on ebay for some ridiculous amount.
