Crackpots - smart or what!

Recommended Posts

At last!!! I've got my grubby paws on a copy of Crackpots!!!

What a great game, a real classic from Activision, sadly though, I suck at playing it - top score of 22K.

Anyone else play this little beauty often?

Crack-pots? Activision? Whoah, I've never heard of it! Here I am trying to get all the Activision titles and that one slipped me by. Is it one of the later titles?

To the best of knowledge, it was never released in PAL format (although my very dodgy memory still insists that I saw it in a Beatties store back home and once in Walsall). I think it has the code AX-029, so around about the time of Robot Tank, Decathlon and Space Shuttle '83 or '84-ish.

This game took me a while to find for some reason. I didn't think it was that rare. It was the last game I found in the wild, the cool part is that the guy let me have it for free.

Ah I see. I think Walsall is NTSC anyway

Hmm, I think I'm gonna have to mod a UK Atari (for NTSC colours) and buy a bunch of US games.
