Getting my Centipede to work

This is what my Centipede looks like when I fire it up:

 

 

 

Any idea what the problem could be (and how to fix that)?

Defenitly a bad ram chip. I just fixed a board with the same problem last week.

Could be a bit of corrosion in a socket. Gently pry the chips uit and replace them.

I've seen that with bad ram too. It will keep the game from playing too. Putting it in test mode should tell you which one is bad, IIRC.

 

I would also reseat all the graphic ROM chips just to be safe.

They do have these pills today that work wonders...
