dgob123 #1 Posted October 26, 2005 (edited) I just came across these in sorting thru my CV collection and I understand the CBS Mr Do is from Europe or Canada maybe (labels is in french) but I can't find anything about the white label Pepper II. Is it unique? Also I'm thinking about selling a very clean boxed CV, boxed Exp #1, #2 and #3, Boxed Super Action Controllers and about 10 different boxed carts and 50 different loose carts. I haven't set a price yet if anyones interested I'll make something up... Edited October 26, 2005 by dgob123
joeybastard #2 Posted October 26, 2005 Nah, the white label thing is pretty common. I have a Time Pilot like that. I think they were just made very late in the systems life so they just got generic labels to keep costs down. My Timepilot was just in a blisterpack, didn't even have a box. Albert #3 Posted October 26, 2005 Well, the while label cartridge is in a CBS-style shell, so it probably originated outside the US. Could be that someone made a label for a cart that was missing one, or could be a homemade pirate cart and someone recycled a CBS shell. Only way to know for sure would be to open the cart and you'd have to remove or damage the label in order to do that. Does the label look like it was printed on a dot matrix, inkjet, or laser printer? Is it glossy, or just plain, matte office paper? ..Al

And it looks press printed ... not like it came out of a printer.
joeybastard #5 Posted October 26, 2005 I'm 99% sure they aren't pirates. I think they are either really late CBS releases or maybe somebody like Telegames selling off old stock. The labels are printed on a professional level print machine but they look like they were applied by a stoned intern with the googly eye.

But you'd think they'd at least put the copyright and trademark information on the label if htey are in fact official releases. It's not like it would cost any more to print the labels with that information. Does your Time Pilot label match the above Pepper II label in terms of layout and font? ..Al

We actually discussed this a loooooong while ago but I can't seem to find it in the search.

Albert #10 Posted October 26, 2005 Yes it's identical. We actually discussed this a loooooong while ago but I can't seem to find it in the search. 954840[/snapback] I did a search for "+colecovision +white +label" and it came up. Here's the thread, although there are no pictures (I assume there were at some point): Anyone seen a ColecoVision cart like this before? ..Al
birdie3 #11 Posted October 26, 2005 We see alot of those white labels here in Canada. Perhaps they are refurbished cartridges put together at a repair outlet or something. I know that there were alot of Colecovision repair outlets in Canada.
holygrailvideogames.com #12 Posted October 26, 2005 Telegames re-released a lot of the Colecovison games with the generic label. There isn't much demand for label variations (or re-releases) at this time for the Colecovison. Maybe at some point there will be demand but for now most people want the originals. I guess I should have used "colecovision". Learn something new every day!
