Blackjack #1 Posted October 27, 2005 At one time, Angel Studios had been making a Dreamcast Port of an arcade game called Savage Quest. It never got finished. I LOVED this game (1999), but as the distribution was only about 300 machines, I'm afraid I'll never again play it, and even worse, it will probably be lost forever and unemulated. Were there ever any other games like it made for any consoles? You played as a Momma T-Rex in a 3D sidescroller (it had depth) tracking down an evil shaman that stole your eggs. You would eat cavemen as well as fight w/ other dino's along the way. Like I said, it was a side scroller, but you could move 3 dimensionally within it. It was very unusual. http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=&game_id=9441 I would love to find something at least a little like it.
SomeGuyWithDSL #2 Posted October 27, 2005 Star Wars: Jedi Power Battles (also on the Dreamcast) immediately comes to mind as a side-scroller "you could move 3 dimensionally within." It's obviously not dinosaur-themed, and is probably not nearly as unique or pleasing as Savage Quest, so in those ways it's not similar. If you were simply referring to the gameplay environment, however, it might be similar.

Ralph3 #4 Posted October 28, 2005 That was the 1st arcade game that I played that had an actual "LOADING" screen. I think I have seen a couple arcade games since with a "LOADING" screen.
Blackjack #5 Posted October 28, 2005 Yep, the game loaded from CD, (or at least an optical disc of some sort).
