Have the Chessmaster games gotten a lot harder over the years?

 

I busted out my old Apple a couple weeks ago and seem to be able to beat Chessmaster 2000 about 80% of the time.

 

Have my Chess skills imprived with age, or are the old Chessmaster games weak?

 

I seriously doubt my Chess skills have improved over the years. I played all the time when I was little and would bet a ton of money I was better back then!

I think the Chessmaster games have improved over the years due to the way to handle the computer's A.I. in making moves. Of course I could just be blowing smoke out my (expletive), but the older versions WERE easier to beat, IMHO. Seems the computer could be easily outsmarted.

 

I was a major chess fanatic back in the day, but these days I'd rather not have to think too much while playing video games.....whoa, did I just say that?
