Good Deal???

Recommended Posts

Is this a good deal? My friend is selling his 2600 for 30$ dollars, it has all connections, a joystick, and 3 games. Think I should consider buying it?

You could probably find it for cheaper than that if you're willing to look. Here's my price estimate given the pricing schemes of the local Value Village's:

Atari 2600: $4

Power Supply: $4

RF Switchbox: $2

3 Games: $3

Joystick: $2

------------------

Atari Experience: Priceless

Sorry, I just had to do it Those are the prices I generally find stuff for around here anyways (I should probably point out that those are Canadian prices). If you're too lazy to do the searching, I'd say offer him $20 or $25. Anyone who's willing to sell their Atari is not likely to ever use it again anyways.

Well, I'd like to put this into perspective.

The second atari I got (I started off with one from when I was a kid), I picked up from ebay for ~$30 (boxed, jr, with 15 games)

The last 2600 I picked up (hell, the last 4 I picked up) have all been about $3 each. But, that's with joysticks & power supplies sold seperately.

Therefore, if you want the games, *and* the console, it's not too much money to spend. But make sure you keep looking
