TOS 2.06 ROM question

Recommended Posts

This one could be a toughie. Can anyone tell me where pin #1 is located on

the high and low TOS 2.06 ROM chips?

Thanks.

it is easy. When you watch the chip from the top the pin 1 is the first one on the left side beside the notch. Here is the picture:

Heh. I thought this was gonna be hard. Thanks!

PS I'm hoping that I didn't ask too late though. I've got a Compatibility Plus 2 board and I was guessing at how to put the ROM chips in (no docs came with it from Ebay). Brad at Best Electronics said I might have already destroyed them if they were in the wrong way. I've not been able to get my Mega to boot up with the board in place. :-(

It should be no problem if only ROM chips are dead. Just buy empty chips and let them program at somebody near you who has EPROM programmer.

BTW does the MEGA boot properly with old TOS?

Oh yeah, the Mega is fine with TOS 1.04 installed. Works great.

I'm not sure I know anyone close who has a burner. Just have to see..

Thanks for the reply.
