Trying to avoid FVF or is the shipping cost right?

Recommended Posts

Well, 500 cases at 5 oz. each equals 156.25 pounds. USPS has a max weight of 70 lbs. per package, and 70 lbs. via Parcel Post costs $43.68, so I don't think he is trying to avoid any fees per se.

Now, what I get suspicious about is these people who offer these deals and I wonder if they are using a corporate shipping account or something that doesn't exactly belong to them. So they ship using a business account but pocket the money. I had someone do this to me, and the item showed up damaged, and getting that all straightened out was a big mess because he had to tiptoe around his corporate bosses to keep them from knowing what he had done.

I don't have a scale in front of me, but I can't see a DVD case weighing 5 ozs. Especially cases with no discs, inserts etc. That would mean 3 weigh a pound.

You know the more I look around the more I think this is actually a really good deal. Cheapest other place I found is here... 500 for 60.00 not inclusing shipping

I just went and weighed an empty one (no disc, jacket, or insert) = 3.5 ounces.
