firebug #1 Posted November 3, 2005 So I recently purchased MM from the store, and have been enjoying it immensely. Excellent game!! Two thumbs up!! I recently slapped it into my heavy sixer and lo and behold, IT WILL NOT PLAY THE FIRST LEVEL! It starts it up just fine, but proceeds to crash about 5 seconds into the game. Black screen of death muhahaha. I'm not too worried about it, because it plays fine on my four switch. I'm just curious if anyone else has noticed this, or if maybe I somehow got a uhm... 'collectible' cart heh.
Albert #2 Posted November 3, 2005 I assume you mean Marble Craze? It should work fine on your heavy sixer, although since it works fine on your other system it's tough to say what exactly the problem might be. I have seen compatibility problems with individual carts (not just Marble Craze) and oddball 2600 systems, but they are pretty rare. Sometimes it's a bad power supply causing the problems. Other times it's a flakey system. And sometimes it's a bad cart. If you want to send the cart back at some point I'd be glad to exchange it for another. ..Al
D.Yancey #3 Posted November 4, 2005 Try another cart in Big Sexy to make sure it is working properly. If yes, then try Marble Craze again and try to move it around in the slot a little while you turn the system slowly off and on a few times too see what response you get. I've seen Activision carts that have to be pampered like this quite often. Good luck!
firebug #4 Posted November 4, 2005 God. Yes. Marble Craze. I do that constantly. No thanks Al, It works just fine in my 4switch, so I guess that'll be the console I play it on, heh. Big Sexy works just fine for levels 5 and up, (I can't figure out how to start it at level two, is that even possible?) so maybe she's just a lil finnicky in her old age . Noone else has noticed this at all? Wow. Uber-rare ultimate collectible
D.Yancey #5 Posted November 4, 2005 On the title screen, the Player one horizontal paddle controls the starting level of the game. Turn it to make the level selection.
