Cassidy Nolen #1 Posted November 14, 2005 I have a question about the Activision GB boxes. I saw the "fatter" style one at the expo this weekend and had not seen that one before. According to a few people, this is the ONLY way the NTSC version was packed. A few years ago (either 2001 0r 2002) I bought a sealed "normal size box" copy at the PhillyClassic. I wish I could remember where I got it (either 2600.com or the DP guys haul from that Zellers buyout). Anyway, I opened it and it is all english (US) documents and a blue label NTSC cart inside. What is the consensus? Was it available both ways or is this just wierd. I know I am the one that opened it. As a stickler for "complete" I would like to know what others think. Thanks, Cassidy

Thanks, Cassidy 965218[/snapback] I have the larger Ghostbusters box, and it contains the picture label cart. My guess is that the first run were the larger boxes and contained the picture cart, where later versions had the standard size box but contained the blue label cart. The large Ghostbusters box is the same size as the large Activision 5200 boxes, like H.E.R.O. I've seen some large Ghostbusters boxes that contained a plastic tray for the cart, but mine has the built in dividers inside the box, that keep the cart in place. That is 100% correct, I have both and so does VGA.
ATARIPITBULL #4 Posted November 14, 2005 Yes, I have the larger box and have played the game on my 2600, so I know its NTSC.
Atari Rescue Group #5 Posted November 14, 2005 I've got a larger box with the dividers in it. I don't have the instructions though.

I'm betting it has a blue label inside, but I don't want to open it up. It does have a barcode on the bottom of it, same as all the other late issued Activision boxes, which often contain blue labels, so I say it's a pretty good bet the slimmer versions were the later released for blue label carts. Here's a side view of the two:
Trade-N-Games #7 Posted November 15, 2005 Also the larger box has a glossy instructions and the small box blue label has the standard paper flat print!
