jerrykurtz #1 Posted November 15, 2005 Sorry for starting a thread here, but I really don't know what else to do other than ask for some suggestions from other collectors. On 11/5, I ordered four 2600 games from Atari 2600.com - Miner 2049er, Keystone Kapers, Frostbite, and Freeway. The three Activision titles were all supposed to be new items. I got the order rather quickly and am happy with all of the merchandise except for one -- Freeway. It wasn't NEW as described, and it was missing the manual. I've sent several emails to [email protected] as well as other email addresses that I saw ([email protected]), and I even sent emails to the email addresses listed on the domain registry. I still haven't gotten a reply. My simple request is to exchange the open/used Freeway that I got for the NEW one that I paid for. I've dealt with them in the past (quite some time ago) and have been pleased with their service an products -- its just this time, I'm not getting any response. I sure would hate to have to dispute part of the credit card charge in order to get their attention. Does anyone know how else to contact the person that is running that site or is responsible for the stuff they sell? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jerry
Chickybaby #2 Posted November 15, 2005 They were at the vid game expo this weekend so maybe that's holding up things? I'm just sorry I didn't get their info for you while we were there. Let us know how everything works out.
Cassidy Nolen #3 Posted November 15, 2005 AFAIK, there is a pretty hefty spam blocker on his account. Joe reads these boards and I would imagine the only reason he has not contacted you is that he may not be back home yet. Just did the Philly show and they live in AZ so that is quite a trip. I also think they were on the east coast for some time before the show as well. Its just him and Zlatka running that operation. Joe is a stand up guy. He will make it right I am very sure. His business depends on his reputation. I know he will make good for you. Cassidy
holygrailvideogames.com #4 Posted November 15, 2005 Joe is very honest. I have dealt with him many times. If you don't hear from him within a couple of days I would recommend sending him a private message through AtariAge.
+Wonder007 #5 Posted November 15, 2005 (edited) I have dealt with Joe several times. I would not be concerned. He was at the Philly Show this past weekend so give him a few days (Penn to AZ). He will not let you down, trust me!!!! And, yes, I would contact him through Atariage, he has a heavy spam blocker!!! jerrykurtz #6 Posted November 15, 2005 Thanks for the replies. I did get in touch with him earlier today and it turns out he was out of town at a gaming show. He's going to see what he has. I have every confidence that he'll take care of it, which is good because there's more games I want to order... Thanks.
ianoid #7 Posted November 16, 2005 Folks are incredibly impatient on the internet, I've found, not to be accusational. Even though I have dealt with atari2600.com regularly, sometimes they have a delay in contact. I never take it personally, but I wouldn' t be upset if they waited 2 weeks to reply, and then I would still just resend. I would be patient- they are a highly reliable vendor and will resolve the issue to your satisfaction.

What if you were trying to contact your credit card company for 2 weeks to complain about fraudulent charges, only to hear that their spam blocker was crapping on your messages. There is no excuse for bad customer service. I have never bought from them, so I have no complaints. Actually, I met Zlatka at VGX and she was really nice to me and my kids. She even offered to watch them so I could browse in peace, but I HAD just met her. I'm not that negligent of a dad!
