Are the Super Mario Bros. coin-ops valuable, or is the game in anyway different from the NES Super Mario Bros.?

 

I can get one for $200, but I am not sure I want to spend the money if it is exactly the same game.

Yup, it's a bit different from the NES. FWIW I just recently sold a dual NES VS. Cabinet for $200 with Super Mario Bros. on one side and Dr. Mario on the other.

i own a mario arcade game and its harder and has a few differences in item location. too many to list here but you'd notice when it came to hitting the coins blocks
