Why all the hate for US games?

Recommended Posts

I like US games because they gave the world Sneak 'N Peak, the most unintentionally funny game in all existence.  I played the game with a friend once (emulated, sadly I can't find the cart to save my life) and the two of us just about died we were laughing so hard.  Even the name is funny (to me).

I just got this game in a job lot on e-bay and it is incredibly funny! One of the most bizarre games i've ever played.

I love Gopher...bought it originally when it came out in 1983?, and I have once again collected several copies of it. It has good graphics and a lot of character. It also comes with some challenging game play.

Yeah, U.S. Games definitely suffers from being the ugly girl at the dance ... BUT, I like Gopher (I bought it for my six year old brother way back), and I too enjoy the clunky twists and turns of Raft Rider ... I remember Commando Raid being solid, and I think I played the fire one ... I also have Entombed, but I have no patience for that!

I also like the packaging, labels, etc.

US Games put out some decent titles compared to numberous third party companies that were out there.  For me the only real turkey in the US Games/Vidtec library is Squeeze Box.

What's so bad about Squeeze Box?

I think it has good gameplay and fairly impresive graphics. it's a little weird that the gun "aims" without moving, but still...

my favorite title by US Games was Entomed, man that game kept you thinking and moving pretty fast. very good game for the 2600. Did not care for Piece of cake though and since those were the only games i had from them that is all i can say.
