Yet another Genesis issue

The power supply I bought for it at Radio Shack won't even plug into this thing. And now my Sega power supply no longer works. Were there more than one power supply for the Genesis out there?

Yep.

 

The Genesis 1 used a different power supply then the Genesis 2, and I believe the Genesis 3 used a different power supply then the Genesis 1/2.

 

EDIT: Depending on what you have:

 

Genesis 1: Can use a Sega CD/CD 2 power supply.

Genesis 2: Can use a Sega 32X/Game Gear/Nomad power supply.
