Don't miss your chance to own 73 copies of combat

I hear tell there is a direct corelation between the number of Combat carts you own and your sexual verility.

Why do you think people call me "Tank Plus..."

Because it has an indestructible outer shell and rear-mounted DVD system?

I actually considered that auction when it was around $250, since I could do local pickup. Even then, it would have taken a while to recoup the "investment" since 95% of the games would eventually sell for an average of $0.50 - $1. I only counted about 10 games that would easily/quickly sell for more than that. There were about 400 ultra common games you could sell to the AA store for an equivalent of $200 in AA store merchandise. But at $750!?!? Maybe he is going to make furniture out of all those commons.

I question how that guy thinks his is "one of the largest Atari auctions ever." I remember seeing a dozen off the top of my head that this one is not even close to. And he thinks that's a lot of Atari? Any one of us replying to this probably has more in our collection NOT counting duplicates.

I'm pretty close (if by "not counting duplicates" you refer strictly to secondary copies of the same game by the same company with the same label in the same case; I have plenty of lvars and pirates and stuff) and I have exactly, no more and no less, than precisely three copies of Combat: Text, Text #, and picture. That's about as many Combat lvars as I can stomach.

However, I've probably come across and at some point unloaded as many Combats as there are individual carts in that auction...

A few semi-rares. Nothing to get excited about. The nice part is I now the majority of Colecovision releases complete, boxed and sealed.

Didja look at the "bid history" page?

If awholelotofthat had put in his $750+ bid as a 1-time snipe, he would have saved around $200 from that noob glutraldehyde running up the price little by little.
