Any Finds This Week Guys? Here's Mine.

Recommended Posts

I got some fairly good deals this week. I found 2600 games Pengo silver label, Sea Hawk by Panda only end label, Porky's, Oink, Taz, and Popeye. $2.50 each not bad. Not as good as my Obelix find a couple weeks ago but not bad.

Today was my first time hunting and all I found classic gaming wise was 2 nes games (tetris, mario bros.2) and one genesis game. (and that's not really a classic game system)

Only 3 NES game complete. First with console, but this has only black and white picture, so I have give it back.

For each game I have pay only 2,- Euro

The games are full working:

Barbie (I know, but for 2,- Euro )

McDonaldland

The Simpsons - Bart vs. the World.

PS: I would buy Barbie too for Atari, if this where release (if the price is cheap), but only to collect, not for play.

I was told that SkatePunk plays this game while wearing a pink dress, he swears it makes the game more enjoyable. Each to their own I suppose.

I knew these girls in college who would get drunk/high and play Barbie on my Friend's Genesis system. What they did aftewards; no one was allowed know.

Not sure if it's anything to brag about and it isn't too classic.. but this is what I picked up:

1. A NES system with two games for $15. The NES works great which I guess is a find in itself.

2. A SNES system with 8 games including Super Mario Allstars (been looking for this) - $35. Also came with a cabinet made to hold a SNES and games. May have overpaid on this one.

I passed up an N64 with no games for $20.

Is anyone interested in trading when Computer Gaming Expo comes to Vegas?

I really wish I had the time to run out and hit thrifts, fleas, garage sales, and so forth. Austin is pretty dry, although every now and again someone informs me of something interesting they've found. I'd probably have to spend ten hours for every one Combat cart I'd come across.

My best finds come through trading, gaming shows (like last weekend's PhillyClassic), or (sadly) eBay. However, I am actively seeking out Dreamcast games, so I have been hitting stores on a regular basis as prices come down. Since DC games are still stocked in many stores, this feels more like a "hunt" where I can be victorious.

The summer has finaly hit over here and I've the best 2 days 'car boot' hunting in my life. I picked up over 30 Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) and Master Sytem games, including Sonic 3 and two Sega 3D Scope games. woohoo.

Still nothing Atari though for the whole of last year I only found 2 VCS games, Ms PacMan and DonkeyKong, 1 lose Jag' with no leads and a heap of ST crap. I found a lose Jr a few weeks back, but someone had nicked the only game the seller had, probably 32-in-1 (the pack-in for UK Jr's)

I didn't find jack. Although I did order some Lynx games over eBay, including a pretty decent deal on Battlewheels and Joust ($25 for the two). I always feel like I'm not paying enough attention to my Lynx for some reason...

Every time I see one in the wild I always ask the seller "does it work?", they always reply "Sure it does." then I ask "hmmmm...so it doesn't blink on and off?" and look them straight in the eye.

At that point they start looking uncomfortable and start dropping prices. Try it next time.
