Sega Game Gear question

Does the Sega Game Gear use the same adaptor as the Sega Genesis?

I really gotta get new batteries for this... it's been a long time...

The adaptor is 9 volts DC with the center tip positive. Looks like the second to largest of the common plugs.

 

I don't know what type of plug the Genesis takes. Check it and see what the output is, I guess.

The game gear uses the same ac adapter as the genesis 2 and 3 but not the first genesis.

Uses the 2103 adapter.
