Will There Be Another Activision Anthology?

Recommended Posts

Hey there!

Just wondering what the story was with a possible sequel to the awesome Activision Anthology, which for my money was by far the best classics comp out there ... I remember Ken Love saying (teasing!) us about an imagic one or something ... so, what's up?

Can't see that happening, as they had pretty much EVERY game released on it. Perhaps they may make it a 'classic' and rerelease it, but I got mine just a few months back and at a good price.

i would like to see them make it for a different system, like the Atari 5200! the other night i played Pitfall II - Lost Caverns for the first time on the 5200 and the lost levels are incredible. in the mean time i'm trying to get my 4 port up and running.

The 5200 version of Megamania rocks, and I'd love to play it on a DS or PSP version of Activision Anthology.

I gotta say, the response to this topic was very mum -- why? Did I miss something? Also, what I mean by another Activision Antho is, "will there be another classic home video game compilation by the current Acitivision company?"

I thought the first was just perfect, and other compilations haven't been as great in capturing the vibe of the old days like this one did ... so, if Ken Love or someone else made an announcement one way or the other, please share!

Wasn't Love talking about a second edition featuring a department store interface?

Not likely. I figure It would the atari 5200, Colecovision and Intellivision games and versions Activsion made.

Remember the C-64 collection they did for the PC back in the days of Windows 95? They should revamp that one for a second Anthology title. I certainly wouldn't mind being able to play games like Park Patrol, Master of the Lamps, Toy Bizarre, and maybe even Ghostbusters on my PS2.
