CGE at Plaza Hotel

I am planning to attend the Classic Gaming Expo at the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas.My question is this-is the Plaza Hotel nice to stay at,and is it just more convienyant to stay there anyway to attend the Expo?Did people that stayed there last year have a good experience staying at the Plaza Hotel?

I stayed at the Plaza. The rooms were clean and quiet, but you could tell this place has been around since the early days of Vegas. The lobby and hallways reek of cigarette smoke, though the rooms are very nice. Expect the same kind of accomodations as you would a middle-class Holiday Inn. I wasn't dissappointed, but I have very low standards.

I'm definitely going this year (haven't been since 1998), so it's nice to know that the Plaza's not too expensive. In fact, if the hotel rooms smell like smoke, I'll definitely be staying there!

Why "off topic"? I'd like to hear more about people who've stayed there. I'm starting to make plans for getting out to Vegas, making reservations, etc.

Well, it is a bit off-topic for this forum, so I've moved it to the Classic Gaming forum since it is about the Classic Gaming Expo. I'll then give my opinion on the topic there.
