Bounty Bob Atari XL Disk?

 

Is it me, or does it just look like someone made a rather poor attempt to put this game on disk? I've been searching Google, but no luck in getting anything about the game being put on disk.

Looks like a cheap cart-to-disk copy to me. A file-based BBSB has been around since back in the day, but obviously it was illegitemate. A real disk would have at least a company name or copyright line.

 

Plus, very few companies put the same copy of the game on both sides of a disk -- usually it was single-sided for one platform or double-sided for two platforms (usually Atari on one side, C64 on the other).

 

What's more, the disk is notched; original disks generally weren't. It also isn't notched on the other side, which tells me whoever made the disk disabled the copy protection sensor in the drive.
