+Omegamatrix #1 Posted December 5, 2005 I thought all the late Atari releases were open ended. I won this off of topol777 the other day, and was surprised to see it had a sliding door. Is this normal for this cart? Incidentally I was surprised and impressed by how good of shape it was in. I think Adam's crappy camera screwed him this time. I'm sure more people would have bided if they could have seen the condition the cart is in.
crunchysuperman #2 Posted December 5, 2005 No, I've got several re-releases with sliding covers.
+Omegamatrix #3 Posted December 5, 2005 I just wondered if they did anything consistent other then misprint labels.

+Omegamatrix #5 Posted December 5, 2005 Non-locking sliding cover? 976874 Yes, non-locking sliding like a Track & Field Cart.
Christophero Sly #6 Posted December 5, 2005 (edited) Congratulations! That's a nice score. I've been looking for that one forever. There are two styles of sliding covers. One with a cover identical to the locking style and one with a cover that has an unbroken PCB slot between the two posts. The later is far more common. I think they use different spring assemblies too, but I'd have to double check that. Edited December 5, 2005 by Christophero Sly

Shawn #12 Posted December 6, 2005 I have a non-locking centipede (silver label), There are poles on springs unlike the locking one where it's a single spring on the cart face the non-locking ones use 2 seperate "convenetional" spriings on posts along both sides of the cart. CincYnoTi #13 Posted December 6, 2005 I would trade my silver label Asteroids for Quadrun. 977015 I'll give you a Quadrun for a boxed complete one! 977050 I would prefer to receive a boxed item in trade. I have the boxed complete Silver label Asteroids. I guess I would settle for a loose Quadrun, but only if it is in good condition ...or a loose NTSC Bomb game. Send me a PM if you are seriously interested in the boxed silver Asteroids.
+Omegamatrix #14 Posted December 6, 2005 CincYnoTi would you mind to post a picture of the box? Just for curiosity’s sake. I've never seen one and there isn't a photo in the database.

CincYnoTi #16 Posted December 6, 2005 ...but only if it is in good condition ... 977513 977529 Was intended to be funny . Although I have seen some Quadruns with labels damaged so badly I wouldn't make that trade.
