128bytes #26 Posted December 7, 2005 Well that's odd - I completed my turn like normal and it said it was your turn - Now it says completed game, but it hasn't registered as a win or lose for either of us. Do you have any options available? 978151 No, and I don't recall clicking on anything by accident that would have completed the game. And just when things were getting interesting! Aaaaagh..... At least the 4 player game is moving ahead just fine.
maibock #27 Posted December 7, 2005 Note the difference between the 2 player game and the 4 play game being that bar underneath our names - The one in the 2 player game seemed to move up a lot faster. I wonder if you had some time limit set in the game settings?

davepesc #29 Posted December 8, 2005 I remember the gague increases with combat. There hasn't been much in the 4-player game yet.
maibock #30 Posted December 9, 2005 Things starting to heat up a bit - Looks like green gets hosed early on with limited cities in Ireland with this UK map - Might be a good idea to try a different map next time.. So far I'm having fun

So far I'm having fun 979375 So, were you going for the Leprechaun pun? I'm green, and I defend my right to wear hose! Luck of the Irish, I guess. I think the map designer gave me less income, but increased protection from the others since I'm on an island. I'm up for the challenge, though. maibock #32 Posted December 9, 2005 Glad you're taking it in stride - The map was already predestined with green in Ireland - note how the town centers are somewhat relevant as well - I think the map was designed to have orange and yellow duke it out early to pacify their greed to gain more cities and blue and green to eventually build up while orange and yellow beat each other down. Looks like everyone got aggressive early, which is fun! I've been looking at some of the other maps people have made, some look fantastic! I don't have the patience to design anything worth while.. davepesc #33 Posted December 9, 2005 Yeah, I joined 3 other games back when we started this and I'm still waiting for my first turn in all 3. Where are all those people?
Gregory DG #34 Posted December 9, 2005 Yeah, I joined 3 other games back when we started this and I'm still waiting for my first turn in all 3. Where are all those people?979561 Hmm... They should change it so if you don't move within 24 hours, you lose a turn.

+kisrael #40 Posted December 16, 2005 Wow. i wonder if Nintendo's gonna lay the legal smack down... they might at least need to change the name to "Web Wars". But it's a beautiful idea...

+kisrael #42 Posted December 17, 2005 Heh. Maybe sometime, not now. Actually maybe I should AW1 and warm up...it's been a long time...
maibock #43 Posted December 19, 2005 So I make a piperunner and when I click to move, none of the adjacent squares highlight to move to. I tried to use "fire" to no avail. It just sits there blocking my tank factory building - I don't get this unit
+kisrael #44 Posted December 19, 2005 Could somebody post a screenshot? I'm just curious what this thing looks like...

maibock #46 Posted December 19, 2005 I think the author of this Advance Wars has taken the liberty of making some "fun" units on his own. So far, I don't think they've detracted from the game and there's always the option when creating a game, to pick which units you wish to ban from that particular game.. Although I have yet to see a game to completion, I must admit to having fun with all of this..
maibock #47 Posted December 19, 2005 I've started up an additional game for anyone who would like to play - 4 player Island game Game Name = AA3 Password = skooch Turns will be anywhere from one turn per day up to as many as we can get in per day.. davepesc #48 Posted December 23, 2005 Just a heads-up that I'm on vacation starting around 10 p.m. tonight. I'll still check in daily, but probably later at night. Sorry to slow things down, but this is getting very interesting.

Yeah, this is shaping up to be an exciting three way battle between me, you, and maibock.
maibock #50 Posted December 23, 2005 You attacked at the perfect moment, Dave - there were times when I was thinking about quickly rolling in and taking over your HQ, but decided to stop Greg's conquest from the north. At the point I went for Greg's HQ I realized I was spread way too thin and looked vulnerable - I decided to keep going and would see what happened.. I think I'm in trouble I'll be in and out all day and all weekend for that matter, so yeah, turns will most likely take longer.. Not sweat, take your time..
