Looks like this wasn't the best map for 8 player free for all. The two capitals being so close create an unfair advantage for whoever gets the first turn.

 

In my case, I'm blue. I will take the Purple base no later than turn 4 no matter what he does.

 

Looks like this map was designed for 4 2-man teams.

I thought of having 4 two-man teams, but decided that it would be better as an eight player free-for-all, as there would be some fun, early tension to battle for supremacy on your own turf, complete with some early exits by players with bad strategy, followed by larger scale battles where no side has any kind of terrain advantage.

ok, "bad strategy" could also be bad luck or bad design, but, hey, it's just a fun game. Do the best you can, and post here for advice. BTW, it's your turn.

I think we learned from last game, that leaving you alone for awhile is NOT a good thing. Had to keep you in check this go around
