What kind of game would you fund if you could?

Recommended Posts

I'm a big fan of the Resident Evil and Dino Crisis series. I'd like to see a Resident Evil set in post annhilation Racoon City. Maybe a hazmat assessment mission that leads to the discovery of zombies living in the underground (think C.H.U.D.). The current maps could be used as a model for creating the damaged buildings on the surface. The underground areas could incorporate some old underground maps and add several new ones. Maybe even a hidden Umbrella Lab or other facility underground would be nice. I'd like to see the zombies act more like the baddies in RE4.

As for Dino Crisis, I would like to see a GTA type game to an extent. The dino's get loose somehow to a major city. Your character has the task of whacking the dinos and saving pockets of trapped civilians, and eventually eradicating the dino threat at the source. The relationship to GTA would be the game engine and map/weapons systems. Freedom to roam and just kill dinos or complete missions and solve puzzles would add depth to that type of game. There would of course have to be vehicles. (velociraptors V. dirtbike in close quarters wooded hillside = fun) I'd also like to see an option to play as a dino and roam and eat people or hunt as a pack like a squad based game. You could have missions here too or just roam and dine.

I love the original posters ideas.

One random idea: Id love to fund the ultimate "Party" style game.

One idea / theme is Classic Style Games; by going to simplified 2D or low-polygon cubes, it would both have a theme and be easier to develop...

so I'd call it "BLock Party", crib all the funnest minigames from any Party series I could, and ideally make easy to homebrew expansion minigames for, like through an API and PC memory card readers...

I would love to see an original game inspired from the Blade Runner (PC) and Rise of the Dragon (Sega CD) games materialize. Hmmm.... maybe with a hint of Omikron... I want it nice and futuristic but with a solid interesting story behind it... yet keeping the story 'down to earth'....
