Betelgeuse #1 Posted December 13, 2005 I bought a new 68882 for my Falcon that I recently acquired and was installing it today. Pushing the thing in almost gave me a heart attack since it required some ungodly amount of force to insert. I actuallu flattened the pins a bit before pushing it in to ensure a smoother insertion, but still it was tough. I was afraid to bust the computer. BTW, internal examination of the Falcon shows it to be in pristine state, almost factory new and VERY clean with no aftermarket upgrades. The software installed is mostly the default stuff that came with it (including 2 demos) and some extra music stuff.
+remowilliams #2 Posted December 13, 2005 Congrats on the Falcon. And yeah those FPGA sockets, especially if they've never had a chip installed require more force than you'd think
