MODDED ColecoVision just in time for the holidays

Recommended Posts

I've got a Modded ColecoVision up for auction on Ebay right now. I thought I'd sneak one in there for those of you who'd like to surprise that special ColecoVision fan in your life this holiday season. It's a complete unit with the console, 2 standard controllers, a power supply, a 6' A/V cable, and 5 games. The console features the "Intro Skip" BIOS upgrade allowing you to skip Coleco's title screen and A/V outputs. Also everything has been refurbished including the console, controllers and games. Happy holidays and good luck bidding.

I have seen you list these a few times and I have always admired the work that you have put into these. I wish I had the extra cash to get one. Best of Luck on your auction!

Gotta love a clear, clean picture for your all your classic gaming needs. Doubledowns' mods look badass, and an intro skip is a god send. One day I'll be picking up one of these for sure. Doubledown is a good guy to deal with.

Thanks for all the praise guys. I can honestly say that I really enjoying modding consoles for people to help them enjoy their video gaming experience. I know it sounds cheesy, but it's true. Sure I like the money too, but if I couldn't do this kind of work I would sure hope someone else would offer these types of services for me. I've done mods on other consoles, but for some reason the ColecoVision is by far my favorite of all times. When I started performing these mods I started with info that I found on the web for the A/V mod and the "Intro Skip" BIOS mod. But due to my fasicnation for the ColecoVision I've epanded my service list. Since then I"ve added S-Video, Component Video, Digital Coaxial Audio, Digital Optical Audio, Internal Power Supplies, and replacement ON/OFF and Reset switches. I'm also working on hardware mods including an Arcade style joystick and modifications to the Expansion Module #2: Driving Controller. If nothing else I develop new mods for myself and if people like them I'll offer those services to them as well. My Arcade joystick is finished developmentally I just need to finish the cosmetics and my Driving Controller mod is in the same stage. I should have them finished up in the next month or two so keep checking here and my website for further updates on their releases. Thanks again to all previous and future customers.
