onkyo_emu #1 Posted December 17, 2005 I've read the faq's and what not, but I can't seem to get this going. The analog stick always want's to go down when it's not being touched. I've adjusted deadzones and range, but still the same. It shows up in control panel as a "4-axis" stick. I think this is the root problem with this adapter. Can anyone make it a "2-axis." The z rotation is what throws everything off. Thanks!
Dones #2 Posted December 19, 2005 I think you might be right. Have you tried: * using the adapter with it's own drivers (if it has any)? * using the adapter without them (so windows just assigns the default HID settings) * On your emulator (which one is it?): Use a different controller plugin? There is one called "Nrage" or similar which works pretty well. You should post this question at the emutalk.net forums which is devoted to N64 emulation. In there you probably will have more luck finding a solution to your problem. Be sure to check out the plugin section for controller plugins. Good luck! Dones #4 Posted December 19, 2005 Guess you'll have to get a different adapter or controller. The Adaptoid is very pricey, but is worth it.
onkyo_emu #5 Posted December 20, 2005 I know. Someone should just release the plans to build one. It can't be that hard. Oh well.
Dones #6 Posted December 21, 2005 (edited) Years ago before USB someone made a circuit that would let you connect a N64 pad to your pc's parallel port with the back then popular DirectPadPro's drivers. Anyway what's the name of your adapter? Edited December 21, 2005 by Dones
onkyo_emu #7 Posted December 21, 2005 Boom. It's the one that has the Playstation option. Which works damn good except that the analog sticks don't work, but that really never bothered me. I like to use original joysticks with all of my emulation. Currently I've got the following: 2600-CX40 NES-NES Pad SNES-SNES Pad N64-Well, you know. PS-Ditto Atari 7800-New 7800 stick, need to make an external crossover to use with my sega adapter Sega Genesis-Sega 6 button Sega SMS-SMS controller TG16-NES pad or logitech wingman
