8th lutz #1 Posted December 22, 2005 There are gamecrazys that are taking ps3 preorders. It does not show up on their website yet. It think this is nuts. I wonder If gamestop will follow suit?
JB #2 Posted December 22, 2005 That's nothing. I'm taking PS4, PSP2, and XBox 720 preorders right now. A grand for the 720, 1500 for the PS4, and 750 for a PSP2. Ask for a Nintendo system and you will be bludgeoned in the head, as everyone knows they won't last 2 more years after the N64 comes out.
bruser_inc #3 Posted December 23, 2005 I was in GameStop and asked when they were going to start with the PS3 orders. All the guy said was sometime before April, for there store anyway.
Albert #4 Posted December 23, 2005 Reminds me of those companies that used to advertise game software in PC magazines--they'd have titles listed for sale LONG before a ship date was even announced. I'm not surprised stores are starting to take pre-orders, the PS3's release is inevitable, and it's guaranteed money for the stores. They do take a risk, though, that they will take more pre-orders than they'll have systems to sell. ..Al
eric_ruck #5 Posted December 23, 2005 Those game companies used to use the preorder sales to finance the game development. Doubt that Sony would be able to cover the cost of even the case design that way. Eric

I heard it plays all the games from 2600 up to Jaguar, including the computer games. I also heard it comes with six 2.4 GHz motion powered wireless controllers, two 4 terabyte hard drives, gigabit ethernet, free long distance calling with VoIP, an 88x DVD-ROM, and the classic Atari logo with the Fuji symbol and the rainbow stripe on a silver band. My worst enemy wants to buy a Nintendo 512 from you. Edited December 23, 2005 by shadow460
