video game addict #3 Posted December 30, 2005 I would if I still needed them. I was recently offered an ntsc ikari warriors for $33 but I passed. I'd like to see these jump up in value again, someday maybe, but really I only need one of each.
holygrailvideogames.com #4 Posted December 30, 2005 Who is offering these games for around $30? I have both Motorodeo and Ikari but I would like a better box for Motorodeo. For $30-$35 I would buy more.

Mindfield #7 Posted December 30, 2005 If it really is NTSC grab it. If it were me I'd be on that faster than Rush Limbaugh on a two foot hoagie. Of course I actually need Motorodeo. I snagged a mint Ikari Warriors for $38 recently, and that was a helluva deal.
FND #8 Posted December 30, 2005 If anyone has a boxed NTSC copy of either or both (2600 Motorodeo, Ikari) at around 30 each I would certainly be interested FND
Marco #9 Posted December 30, 2005 I thought these would end up around $50, but it looks like they haven't hit rock bottom yet. I'm sure we'll see these for $25 each. Cheers, Marco

Cheers, Marco 991176 I think these sellers are just getting tired of not moving their stock fast enough, and tring to sell out so they can move on to something else. I believe if they do all sell out the prices will go back up. I'm sure there's still many collectors out there that would buy these at around the $50 mark, but most of the auctions have opening bids well above that. Marco #11 Posted December 30, 2005 The thing with really rare boxed games (like Video Life and Malagai) is that they usually hop around from one hardcore collector to another. That's why they've kept their value over time. If you look at the titles that were uncovered in large quantities, they seem to drop in rarity and price structurally. I think this hobby just isn't big enough to accommodate these big warehouse finds. The Starplex controller, the Homevision repro kit, the Yoko game copier, Star Wars the Arcade Game, the Mystique, Froggo, Mythicon games, etc all still sit way below what they once sold for. I'm considering there were 300 of these Motorodeo and Ikari games, maybe even more (just a wild guess, 50 containers of six each sounded plausible). That's why I reckon they will hardly rise in value again in the future. Cheers, Marco
mrppv666 #12 Posted December 31, 2005 I had one of the sellers in Venezula offer me both Motorodeo and Ikari Warriors for $80 shipped... I'm still a little hesitant because there has to be a ton of these and if they're willing to discount them that much and the market will dry up sooner rather than later they could still go cheaper as more and more people pop up with them... However, I'm sure that's what these retailed back when they came out so it's not like I'm paying any more for a new one now than I would in 1990 and no one knows the exact amount out there so there is always that risk of waiting. I probably should've waited. Oh well.

Thanks. 991043 I have a copy of Atari 2600 Ikari warriors for sale at $24.99 PLUS FREE SHIPPING. It is a reproduction of the original cart. The labels LOOK IDENTICAL TO THE ORIGINAL. The cart is in Super Mint condition and only a year and a half old. You'd never be able to tell at first glance that it isn't the original, because they look exactly alike. It does state on the cart in tiny writing that it is a reproduction cart. It plays identical to the original. Exact replica of the game. If you are interested let me know. My e-mail is Thanks, Jeff Falcon
