Trade-N-Games #1 Posted December 30, 2005 super collection Very Funny I hope this is not someone on the forums. This seller list it all out so it must be a good deal. He has linked right out of his auction to atariguide.com for prices and look at the last item video game brain price I emailed him and said the video game brain is worth about $30 not $300. Everyone should email him with that info.
crunchysuperman #2 Posted December 30, 2005 Dude is out of his mind! $110 for a 4-switch? And not even a single picture either! I sold a lot some time back three times that size that went for less than half that starting price, and I was surprised it went as high as it did. If anybody pays his price for that lot they deserve to be taken!
Trade-N-Games #3 Posted December 31, 2005 I got a reply back from the seller of this auction about the game brain. Did I miss something on how much this is worth? Can somone please have Atariguide change that price soon so I can email the seller and ask what he is talking about. This was the reply you are wrong just the instructions are worth $35 the game brain is worth $350. Just click on it where it says video game brain it will take you to the web site Now thats really funny
FND #4 Posted December 31, 2005 The VideoBrain Manual he has a link to has nothing to do with the ATARI 2600, Its a compeletly different system I assume he has a VIDEO GAME BRAIN not a VideoBrain BTW no way is a VideoBrain worth that much. I might consider the 65.00 for the manual if it came with the game console

MoonlightKnight #6 Posted December 31, 2005 *sigh* This is the exact reason why people need to put disclaimers on all "price guides" and "rarity guides" that the are part opinion and not to be used as a "bible". So many times I've seen other EBay user saying "this website says this game is this rare!" Then they proceed to price the item at an outrageous rate based on that information... Sure these games are old but geez... there aren't too many that are worth more than $10.... at least not ones you'd find on EBay very often! I'm half tempted to email that guy myself and tell him why his auction will probably never sell...

The DP Collector guide has it rated at a R4 $25 If it was the Atari Game Brain I think it alone would be worth the BIN But I am pretty sure he is talking about the Video Game Brain

+Omegamatrix #9 Posted December 31, 2005 Wow! This guy put a lot of time putting all those hot links into that auction. I'm not surprised though it has no pictures. Even if we all emailed him I don't think it would do any good. No one wants to be told what they are selling is worth a lot less than they think it is. Room 34 #10 Posted December 31, 2005 Some people fail to grasp two critical things: 1. You almost NEVER get price guide values when you sell collectibles as an individual. 2. You can't sell 200 items together in a lot and expect to get the sum of all of their individual values.
8th lutz #11 Posted December 31, 2005 (edited) Any collectors guide is good gving you a rough idea on what the game should be. I think the seller is going by the value if it was boxed. A loose version of a game shouldn't be the same as a Dp price value or any price guide. It is like one of my Genesis games,it is a rarity of seven but its not worth the 65 due to not having the box. This person should used some common sense in value. Edited December 31, 2005 by 8th lutz

I have bought and sold those Video game Brains mint in the box for $35 Been selling buying and collecting Vintage games for 10 years . Just trying to let you know why you won't get any bids on your collection. I have no interest in it. I have them all. It is a nice collection but dont expect to get more than $600 on a good day. The guides contact me on prices. Thanks for your response. HH

It was actually called the VideoBrain not the video game brain. Oh well my mistake
