Got a funny item to sell and need some ebay tips

Recommended Posts

Happy new year all! I have been doing some new years cleaning and have decided to part with some video game stuff... I will put up more on that once I list the auctions.

Here's the problem... one of the prizes of my NES collection is a pirate copy of Super Mario Bros. 3. I tried listing it on ebay about a year ago, but it was removed becausae I used the word "pirate" in the description. I was thinking of relisting it and billing it as an "Unlicensed Super Mario Bros. 3"... what do ya all think?

This thing should fetch more than a couple dollars (I was offered $100 once) and I could use the cash, but I do not want people to pass the auction by thinking it is just another SMB3 cart. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

You should have sold it for the $100. I have bought and sold MANY copies of SMB 3 that where pirates. I never buy them for more than 2 or 3 dollars and can never sell them for more than $10 tops, But best of luck, Maybe you have some odd uber rare or something. What color is the shell? I have had black, pink, orange, white, standard "NES" grey & yellow.

If its the one with a smaller famicom label on it than your looking at about $25 for that one to the right person (the blue one). Th white one is pretty common.
