Atari Chat Tonight

Recommended Posts

Hi

I managed to connect my 800XL via SIO2PC to the Atarinews-BBS.

Works like a charm. Another useful purpose for the SIO2PC interface and APE.

So if someone likes to meet me - im on and testing. Are there other recommended BBS's for 8-Bitters? I found a list with google, but it seems to be slightly outdated (from 2005).

Greetz,

Beetle

Nice to hear that the darkforce is back. Since the "further notice" in your "Darkforce BBS down" thread still didn't come, i didn't even try.

OK, i will try soon.

Thx,

Beetle

PS: I tried it, it's great! Slowly i begin to understand it's possibilities.

No not many, only four people today.

Quick Recap:

- mdgames was there when I arrived. I was 20 minutes late and really sluggish. After 3 stops for coffee I finally started chatting for real

- mdgames is working on a new game dual (that's two games, not a fighting game) for Jaguar. He's trying to put the AI routines on the Jaguar's RISC processors. The details were beginning to go over my head!

- I embarassed myself by thinking mdgames is the friend of Beetle. I still can't remember that friend's nickname.

- Stephen showed up. He was ripping out his kitchen floor and said that is why he was late. That's no excuse for missing chat in my opinion. LOL! His hand is almost healed after last week's mishap.

- Mr. Atari popped in then had to respond to a customer. We talked about MyIDE, as usual. -

- Mdgames asked Mr. Atari to test thenew games.

- I took a break for lunch. When I returned Mr. Atari's had been talking about his movies. I missed the details. He had to leave again.

- That's about it. Chat broke up around 2:00 EST.

IMPORTANT NOTE...

or the new IP address (for lantronix users) of 69.60.124.49

The older one will lead to a empty chat room...

Just a reminder of the Euro Chat in one hour and 30 minutes!!!

New IP was 69.60.124.49 last week for all you Lantronix/8-bit users.

Or Atarinews.org ;)

I am sorry that I will not be there, but hope you have a great chat. And if Mr. Atari shows up, let him know the gal replacement from Steve Tucker for the MyIde Flash has worked a lot better. :)

See a llot of you Tuesday.

Hmm, must have missed it. Its 10:57pm here, and I'm the only one

online in the chat room. :(

Oops!

Around 10:00 pm EST the whole group decided to try an experiment and moved to IRC at IRC.OPENIRC.NET #ATARI. Some of us remained logged in at Atarinews.org but at one point I was the only one.

I didn't see you come in. Sorry! My bad!

We discussed a permanent move to IRC but questioned the convenience for real A8 hardware access. I believe the decision was postponed.

Instead, the usual group, plus Atari8-l mail list subscribers, and anyone else are invited to IRC chat (above location) on Thursdays 8:00 pm CST.

Barring any more experiments next Tuesday's chat should be at the regular location (Telnet www.atarinews.org) and time.

That would be cool if you could mention the chats Dan. They've been regularly attended for quite some time now.
