I have enjoyed playing this game, but don't use it much anymore, and thought another Jaguar fan would enjoy it. I tested it last night (01/08/06), and it works fine. Battlesphere Gold is in great shape. The box is clean, and looks new. The cartridge is clean, and smoke free. Manual has a slight tear on the front page. Both JUGS and the demo CDs are included.

Battlesphere did not get much attention at the OKGE/OVGE shows. Several people said they liked the "looks" of it, but did not want to learn how to play it.

If I keep getting outbid by this n00b with only 11 on his feedback rating, I'm probably going to give up. I know it's not a shill bidder, but I'm still uncomfortable with such an apparently rank amateur being willing to outspend me for a BSG. Makes me wonder if he's anywhere near as close to a complete Jag collection.

 

Do I need a Catbox to link in? I never actually examined how the set up worked the time I did play it at OVGE a couple years ago.

For two Jags, a standard Jaglink cable works fine. For a network, I believe there are three choices:

Catbox. May be hard to find, but it's cool for everyone to check out.

Scatbox. I don't know how hard it would be to get a Scatbox. They work very well.

JagLink2. Available here at the AtariAge store for $30. I haven't heard any reviews for this one.

$355....not bad. You might have got more if you put "Atari Jaguar" in the title. When I look up Jag stuff on ebay that is what I always put in and your auction didn't show up. I suspect that many other people do it the same way (you only had 4 bidders).

That would be my brother bidding on my behalf. Apparently "somebody" fell asleep last night before increasing the max. bid, so the game went to somebody else.

 

Too bad. I would´ve gone a lot higher, so if the other deal doesn´t come through, you know where to find me.

Seriously though, we share a huge collection of both Atari related stuff as well as Non-Atari related.

I see absolutely no problem with that.

I used to have a substantial Jaguar collection, including Battlesphere. (I sold off the collection when I moved overseas.)

I thought it was a great game, and I'd love to have a copy, but I don't think I'm willing to spend hundreds of dollars for it.

The guys who wrote it used to hint they were going to port it over to another platform, but nothing seems to be coming of that.

Sigh. I guess I'll just have to be happy playing 8-bit Star Raiders...

Shill bidding, in my book, is directly the opposite. Buyers (fictional even) related to the seller, inflating the price and in turn pushing the other potential buyers to go even higher.

 

We bid as one. We haven´t been outbidding ourselves, that´d be kind of stupid wouldn´t it?

I´m the main protagonist here. I told my brother I wanted Battlesphere, and since I don´t even have an eBay account, we used his.
