Funny Read. CGCC Sucks though Most Fanboy's over there have to call an electrician when the get a new console cause they need someone to hook it up for them. (I'm serious, alot of them have no clue).

I don't share the link owner's disdain for some of the cabinets pictured. True, a lot of people seem to have a button fetish for some reason I don't understand, but...

 

-1- What's wrong with marble paper? It's a reasonably easy way to make something that looks finished. Depending upon the material used for the cabinet and its condition, paint may not have been adequate. Marble paper would seem better than most types of wallpaper.

 

-2- Having something that pivots to allow multiple types of controllers would seem like a good thing. Some arrangements are better than others, but how else are you going to get two steering wheels and two flight yokes (I suspect the builder had some games in mind that required them).

 

-3- The student desk with the pivoting monitor may not look great, but how many designs with pivoting monitors do? If the thing is functional, isn't that what should matter?

 

I'll agree some of the examples posted were pretty hideous, but I'd hardly call that link 100% gold.

FYI, the double post bug seems to be caused by hitting the stop button while waiting for a response from the "Preview Post" button. Never built one. I use my 7800 with CX40's to play 2600 games.
