ehenciak #1 Posted January 17, 2006 Nice...Colecovision is now in an FPGA! Goto www.fpgaarcade.com for more details. This could mean portable Colecovisions, etc. This is also motivating me to get my damn Atari FPGA out there for the masses ! For those not familiar with FPGAs, this basically means that someone stuffed the whole colecovision into a single, relatively inexpensive chip! Pixelboy #2 Posted January 17, 2006 Oops... Seems like someone beat Eduardo to the finish line, by about a year... I don't know how he's going to take this...

Hopefully he (or someone else) will use his VHDL on the C-One to implement a Colecovision on it. IIRC his Vic 20 VHDL provided the Vic core for the C-One. I have the Atari 2600 finished (in fact, a few people have seen it), but I am waiting for some hardware to be finished before I formally release it. They should continue their efforts if they were working on Coleco...the video chip could be modified into a Sega Master System video chip with some effort. Pixelboy #5 Posted January 18, 2006 Sorry, I don't understand! Was someone else working on Coleco? You can read all about it here. I was going to do it, but life got in the way. I have the Atari 2600 finished (in fact, a few people have seen it), but I am waiting for some hardware to be finished before I formally release it. That's interesting... They should continue their efforts if they were working on Coleco...the video chip could be modified into a Sega Master System video chip with some effort. Actually, opcode has his own plans for upgrading the CV, as you already know if you clicked the link above.
