Trade-N-Games #1 Posted January 18, 2006 (edited) But it now killer Well this was not a BIN and then it turned into a super BIN for someone. This is why people need to bid early so dumb sellers dont pull this crap on us who love the hunt and collecting games. Now I bet it just turns up with some crazy BIN. Stlouisrams also got a great game from this seller but at least that was up for 10 seconds for everyone to bid on it. He used to live alot closer in town and gave a visit everynow and then to my store now he is all the way over on the other side of town and does not get out much anymore. Sean gets some crazy deals like a $5 glib boxed. I gave him some crazy money for it since it was super nice and he brought it right to my store. MoonlightKnight #8 Posted January 18, 2006 Wow... I can't believe you posted this with such anger and hatred. Why is the buyer an a$$hole? He found a great deal and took it off the market quick. The seller obviously didn't know the value of what they had and the buyer did. I know there is a desire to of people "In the know" to keep the market low, but when something truely spectacular comes along and someone else really wants said item, aren't they going to pay a little more for it to get it? The buyer got lucky... that doesn't make him an a$$hole. Just curious... did you happen to notice that neither the seller or the buyer are, in fact, new users? The buyer signed up over 2 years ago and the seller more than 6 years. Thanks for the heads up on the game, but I think your knee-jerk reaction to the situation was a little extreme. Not that I'm saying that was right or wrong, I only noticed it because it wasn't in my tracker list anymore
Foxsolo2000 #10 Posted January 18, 2006 Good luck to him I say. That is a hell of a deal he got for himself. Wish I had seen it first

Maybe the seller just decided, "Hey, this item isn't selling as fast as I'd like, I'll put a BIN on it and get rid of it." Or maybe the seller forgot to put a BIN on it in the first place and corrected thier mistake. Automatically accusing the parties of something below board is extreme, and completely baseless. The buyer has a history of asking sellers to add a BIN. By the same token, it's not like this was a side deal so I don't get why so many people are so pissed. That's not the case in this instance Again, I'm not judging the individual who did this, Caveat venditor is just as true as caveat emptor, just not as well known
MoonlightKnight #15 Posted January 18, 2006 Again, I'm not judging the individual who did this, Caveat venditor is just as true as caveat emptor, just not as well known 1002489[/snapback] I agree, because isn't that what EBay is all about anyway? Trying to find something for the lowest price possible? If the seller is willing to part with something for a certain price and someone is willing to buy it for said price, then both parties have accomplished what they set out to do. Envy the buyer, pity the seller, but don't call either person names. Even if you do have details on how the transaction went down, they are really irrelevant. They both got something they wanted and a deal was completed.

He's been helpful to me in the past. I only made my statement to show that people who do this for a living don't always score the good deals. As for denigrating people who do this for a living, come on now, who wouldn't love to be able to pay eBay all day nabbing stuff and then re-selling it? I know I would. But until then, I will go on adjusting insurance claims for a living.......
