neotokeo2001 #1 Posted January 21, 2006 (edited) S.I.PLIX The year is 2384 and mankind has been exterminated by the Space Invaders. You are the last Man left alive, So what do you do?? Why save the Last Woman left alive of course. Jump into your hijacked saucer and fight your way past the legions of Invaders to find your Lady Love. Level 1 Fight you way past the patrolling Invaders Level 2 Race past the Saucer and save your woman BIN FILE: SIPLIX.zip NOTE: Original game:BI! BI! This has to be the one of the worst games for the Atari 2600. It could have been a decent game but the programming is so sloppy it kills any fun that may have been had. Control is a pain in the butt and sometimes your shot will go thru the enemy sprites leaving you hanging and waiting for death. This hack was completed in 15 minutes from idea to completion. As to why it was made: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=82191 No carts are actually going to be made. This is just a joke and poking a little fun at the Cyplix situation. Edited to fix graphics Edited to add Original Game Info Edited January 21, 2006 by neotokeo2001
jetset #2 Posted January 21, 2006 No carts are actually going to be made. 1003944 Thats a damn shame. With a decent manual that could probably fetch $50.

Shawn #6 Posted January 21, 2006 I bet S.I.PLIX out sells CYPLIX or PLEX or whaever it's called by at least 10 to 1, and ya I'm taking into account that there will not be any S.I. PLIX carts actually made
Jerky #7 Posted January 21, 2006 You know, a few years ago, I was into hacking arcade roms (I used to run Jerky's Arcade Hacks). There was one hack that I was particularly proud of and that was my hack of the arcade game 1942. I changed all the graphics and called it Galaga-X. I have no idea where one can get a copy of that hack these days, but it does turn up on Google searches. Anyway, I can see a hack author be proud of his work no matter what others think. But I never saw so much hype of something so insignificant as Cyplix! I wasn't bothered so much by the hack itself because I've seen my fair share of lame-assed hacks! What kills me is all the products involved with this. It's crazy I tell ya! Like I'm going to want Cyplix clothing! Jeez.
+uosipa llamxew #8 Posted January 21, 2006 (edited) Looks pretty cool. I'm going to have to download MisfitMAME and track down some of those hacks. Edit: I have no idea how I managed to double post! I think Satan made me do it! Edited January 21, 2006 by mojofltr

+batari #10 Posted January 22, 2006 You know, a few years ago, I was into hacking arcade roms (I used to run Jerky's Arcade Hacks). 1004252 I tried hacking an arcade ROM once and it didn't work because the machine's POST did a CRC or checksum or something and refused to run. Is there a way around this?

Usually, you'd find someone, like Nukey Shay in this forum, that would help out if what you were doing sounded cool. But the arcade hacks are pretty much dead as far as I'm concerned so I don't know if you'd find the help as fast as I did 6 years ago!
128bytes #12 Posted January 23, 2006 No carts are actually going to be made. This is just a joke and poking a little fun at the Cyplix situation. I love it! No better way to poke fun at the Cyplix hack than to do a real hack in 15 minutes, but then pull it back and leave it as a "mock hack". Brilliant! Best laugh I had today, other than Atari Charles actually worried that someone would steal artwork made by his pal "", which is chock full of copyright infringements to begin with! I used to go on that site all of the time! It was sooooo cool to have all of the Pac-Hacks (and others) in one place! Great that you're a member here, man. hmmm... Maybe I should have charged more than $20 for the few 7800 Pac-Man / Hangly Man / Pac-Man Plus carts I made... j/k Bob

It was nice to get it at the price you sold it to me for though And when I said I was readly to spend that much on a home made game that is cause it is well worth it, compairing your work to say Cyplix is like compairing apples and oranges.
