Ite #1 Posted January 24, 2006 So all that happens is the guy keeps jumping on to the switch and blowing the place over and over again or did I miss something.
Tempest #2 Posted January 24, 2006 Yep that's it. You're lucky Porky's even has an ending, most 2600 games don't. Tempest
Ite #3 Posted January 24, 2006 Isn't that what happens when you turn the game on at first though? If so, it isn't really an ending.

If so, it isn't really an ending. 1005558 My guess is that was supposed to be the ending, but someone realized so few people were going to actually slog through that thing to reach the ending that they had to show it up front or nobody'd see it. Well I got the game in the mail today and beat it already so pretty cool.
NovaXpress #6 Posted January 24, 2006 Journey Escape also had an animated ending which was also shown at startup. I imagine this was done to impress the buyers at trade shows.

One scores around a thousand points by just beating the game, but doing it without getting hit by anything on the highway, using the pole vault less, never getting caught by Mrs Ballbricker, etc. earns you more points. inextremis staple #8 Posted January 24, 2006 How do you not get hit by anything and still make it down below Porky's so you can get to the girls' shower? is
moycon #9 Posted January 24, 2006 I remember seeing a news spot on the TV about the Porkys game. They were stating how it was an adult game. Blah Blah I had already knew about the Custards Revenge cart and figured it was another game like that. Imagine my suprise when i saw Porkys at Kmart! I bought it right up, it was $5.00 and I loved it! I did think it was lame that they show the ending...at the bigining. Same with ROTLA. Just seems stupid as hell to me. supercat #12 Posted January 30, 2006 I'll never understand why all the hate for Porky's in the reviews I think it is a very enjoyable game. 1009288 What do you like about it? Seriously. Putting four different play screens plus the intro/ending in a 4K cart is sorta neat, but I haven't found any of the screens to be fun to play. What screens do you like? What screens do you like? 1009309 I like the shower screen Seriously though I think the whole game is pretty fun especially for a Fox game, beats tar outta M*A*S*H in my opinion, at least Porkys has something to do with the movie it is based on ("operation" scene in M*A*S*H doesn't count). supercat #14 Posted January 30, 2006 I like the shower screen 1009314 Uh, why? It's just a boring matter of climb the left side, wait for the guard lady to start climbing, then push the object until it goes down the hole, then climb back up to the top. Yeah, there's a pink sprite for a few seconds, but if that turns you on, your head might need examination.

The ending might be cool if it weren't a 'gimme', but what else?
StanJr #17 Posted January 31, 2006 I don't know, Porky's ain't much, but its not trash either. I enjoy playing it a little bit. More than Space Jockey. It's not impossible to beat, but its not a cakewalk, there is some challenge to it and its kind of fun. I had no idea what the shower scene was supposed to be the first time I saw it. The game is fairly challenging when played on the right difficulty and is way better than Space Jockey, M*A*S*H, Desert Falcon and such games. I will admit that it ain't exactly Fonz but it's not garbage either

That seems to make the game much harder. Not sure how one is supposed to win at that level, but maybe there's a way.
Lord Thag #20 Posted February 1, 2006 I found it to be better than I was expecting. Weird, totally bizzare actually, but kind of fun if you give it a chance. Kind if like an interactive atari ink-blot test
Foxsolo2000 #21 Posted February 1, 2006 The game would have been a lot better had the controls been better and allowed you to climb up and down the ladders easier. By the way, where exactly in the film did any of them have to cross a busy freeway and then pole vault out of a pit?
