jetset #1 Posted January 24, 2006 Hello! I have a TI on the way and need/want some games. Also, controllers or an alternative. The TI controllers would be nice to have since they're unique, but I'd definetly settle for the cord to use 2600 style sticks as well (and yes I know there's a way to convert but truse me I'm not techincially inclined and would rather have the real thing anyways) I'd even be interested in programming books. Not specificially programming per se, but the kind that have games, etc where you type in the program in line by line and save to disk or cassette (that was always fun to me back when I owned a TI years ago) PM me or reply here of course. A.J. Franzman #2 Posted January 25, 2006 One of the less-attractive thrift stores near me had about a dozen loose TI carts a while back, priced at $3 each (non-negotiable). If this is not too much for you I could check if they're still there.

Would it be too much to ask you to jot down the name(s) of them first though?

I love the TI, but man its controllers are the epitome of "spongy suckiness"

Now I'm leaning towards the adapter cord. 1006276 By all means, get a set for completeness, but yeah they suck to use. Much better off with an adapter if you can get one. Albert #9 Posted January 26, 2006 I have a ton of excess TI 99/4a carts. If you make a list of what you already have (or have coming) I will look through my carts and make a list of the carts I have that you don't. ..Al
A.J. Franzman #10 Posted January 27, 2006 By the way, where are you from (yeah I know...la-la-land.) ? 1007502 That's an old nickname for Los Angeles (L.A. - get it? Also derogatory wrt Hollywood and stereotypically underdeveloped intellects of the local denizens.) I'm in the eastern part of the county a good 20 miles outside of downtown, though, so they mostly consider me a foreigner.
TuzenTCA #11 Posted January 27, 2006 (edited) Hello, I have some double programs that you can have, provided you pay postage. I will put the names on here tomorrow if you are interested. They are ones that were listed in the post earlier, but I only think I have like 2 or three doubles. Anyhow, I say they are yours provided postage is paid. On a side note. I have been posting want ads in this forum for a while; mostly TI stuff and I haven't got these kinds of responses. I have a ton of excess TI 99/4a carts. If you make a list of what you already have (or have coming) I will look through my carts and make a list of the carts I have that you don't. ..Al 1007547 Is it because I have a "Wanted Page?" Should I make individual pages listing what I want for each individual system, instead of lumping it all together? Anyhow, Albert.... please make that list; because it is a good chance I may want a program or 12 off of you. --James EDIT!!!!! I miss-read Albert's original post. I thought he said he was going to make a list of what he had, not what jetset didn't have. I will post a list of what I have on a subsequent post. I hope jetset doesn't get angry with me for piggybacking on his post. Edited January 27, 2006 by TuzenTCA
REv9k #12 Posted January 27, 2006 I loved the first Jawbreaker game back on my old TI. Didn't know that there was a Jawbreaker 2!
